The customer books an overnight stay through an agency. To pay for the booking, the customer or the agency generates an AirPlus Virtual Cards number (virtual Mastercard®).

AirPlus issues a statement (without VAT) to the corporate customer.
Via the AirPlus Virtual Cards number, AirPlus receives the transaction data and incorporates it into the statement issued to the corporate customer.
AirPlus
The booking platform generates a booking and transmits a payment guarantee or an event agreement with the details to the hotel.
Service provider
Hotel
The hotel authorizes the estimated amount of the invoice based on the AirPlus Virtual Cards number, via its card terminal.
Check in
The hotel charges the actual amount of the invoice via its card terminal and provides the invoice to the guest or sends it to the agency. The hotel receives the invoiced amount via its Mastercard® acceptance agreement.
