• Are the virtual cards that I create in Amadeus also visible in the AirPlus portal?

Yes, every card created can also be viewed in the AirPlus portal and can be looked at or downloaded as a PDF at any time. However, the generation takes place in Amadeus without you having to log into the portal.

• Can I use AirPlus Virtual Cards for all services or is their use limited to certain services?

Use is limited. AirPlus Virtual Cards can be used for the following services: flight, hotel, train, restaurant, rental car, parking, travel agency services, transportation services, and other travel services.

• Which DBIs can I use in Amadeus?

When generating cards in Amadeus, you can use the DBIs that you have specified in your framework agreement with AirPlus - therefore the same DBIs that are available to you when generating cards in the portal.

• What happens if I have generated an AirPlus Virtual Card but don't use it afterwards?

In principle, nothing happens because the card is only charged when the merchant charges it. However, if you know that you will not use your card in the future, you should block the card in the portal. The cards are valid for one year from the time they are generated.

• Can every travel agent at our travel agency generate virtual cards via Amadeus or does a specific function have to be activated in Amadeus?

Everybody who has an Amadeus license can create cards for the specific Office ID of your travel agency.

• Is there a limited number of virtual cards that I can generate per day/week/month?

No, you can generate as many cards as you like. However, your travel agency has a total volume limit. As soon as this limit is reached, you cannot create any more cards.

• Can I create virtual cards in different currencies?

This varies depending on your country. Please contact your account manager.

• Is there a maximum limit for the card?

Yes, virtual cards can be created up to a maximum of €50,000 per card.
